Today’s local newspaper …the Record Searchlight …

Bet it didn’t even weigh 2 ounces …

Someone told me that only 14% now get their daily news routinely from a newspaper.

I haven’t been able to find anything to back that number up ….. but I bet it’s close..

Looks like the Record Searchlight has even given up.

My guess is that less than 14% of the newspaper staff gets their news from their own publication.

Troubled Teen?

OK…couldn’t resist passing this along ..Only in Nebraska ? A July Nebraska Safe Haven law designed to encourage troubled mothers to relinquish their newborns has instead spawned a rash of abandoned teenagers.

Nebraska legislature is now considering an age limit to the law as to date there have been 19 “dropped off” teens and no newborns. 2 of those teenagers were from other states.

Resist the urge to move to Nebraska for the wrong reasons.

1. 10% of all I earn is mine to keep.

2. I will learn to live comfortably on 90% of my income.

3. Put my money to work earning more money, and that money to work in
turn.

4. Guard my money from loss. Know about what I do. (Knowledge)

5. Own my house.

6. Provide in advance for my old age and the needs of my family.

7. Cultivate my own powers. Become wiser and more skilled.

I just re-read “The Richest Man in Babylon” by George Clason …. do yourself a favor and
pick up a copy.

Just curious, what Olympic event resembles your job?

A marathon ….long run during the day with a kick to the finish line at 5?

4 man relay …… you run as hard as you can but then pass the baton to another team member?

Javelin throw …….you take long pointy issues and throw them as far as you can?
